How Your Biography Affects Your Biology

  • Spark Center 1214 W Summit Pkwy Spokane, WA, 99201 United States (map)

Join us for the next event in our myth-busting series:  How Your Biography Affects Your Biology. New research in the field of neuroscience, epigenetics, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and resiliency shed light on how the experiences in our life shape our brain and body function--and that of our children--affecting the quality of our health, relationships, self-regulation, and on-the-job performance. Free and open to the public.

Brooke Matson is a member of the N.E.A.R. Speakers Bureau of Washington through the Foundation for Healthy Generations' ACEs Learning Institute. She taught at-risk youth for seven years, has a passion for social justice and education, and is eager to spread the word about NEAR Science.
