River Poetry Walk

TUE. OCT. 17 // 5:30 PM

Meet at Spark Central and walk to the riverbanks in search of inspiration to create short poems. We will learn a simple form to help focus our expression, and then create image poetry that reflects the nature surrounding us. The class will conclude at the overlook near the Herb Hamblin Overlook in Kendall Yards. Register online // $10.

Jerry White, Jr. is Spokane’s Riverkeeper. But not only does he live in the West Central along our river, he also enjoys reading and writing about the subject. Jerry taught middle school for many years, and has always enjoyed teaching poetry.
