What really happens when you sit at the buddy bench on the Holmes Elementary school Playground?

Did you know that the buddy bench was made to make friends? Well, not exactly. It was made to cure loneliness, I think. Anyway, it was pretty much made for sad kids.
How it works is, if you are lonely, sad or just like to make friends, you can sit on the buddy bench and wait for a kid to come up to you and start a conversation with you. One of three things can happen after that. One: You would have made a friend by then. Two: Oh no! You just made a complete enemy. Or, three: You just got saved from boredom.
When I tested to see how well it really worked, it did not work out so well. I sat there in the hot, hot sun counting in my head how long it took for someone to sit by me. Then, finally, it took four whole minutes. Someone sat by me and it was so-oo awkward. □
