West Central Express: Special Edition

SUBMISSIONS DUE MAY 28

Calling students of all ages who live in Spokane!

The editors of the West Central Express are seeking reporters to keep us informed of the happenings in Spokane while everyone is staying safe at home. We’re taking written as well as audio recorded stories and photographs from students in elementary, middle, and high school. We’ll publish a special online issue of the newspaper in early June!

Right now, your perspectives are more important than ever. Call your friends and tell them to submit too! Help us share the news and stories that are important to you. From hard hitting journalism, to poems and stories you've been writing while you're stuck at home, we would love to read them.

If you are interested in submitting and would like help setting up a phone interview with someone in the community, with your parents consent, email programs@spark-central.org and see how we can help you out.

To record an audio story, we recommend using a cell phone that has Voice Memos or a similar application. Please include a description with any image or photograph submissions.

All submissions can be emailed to snoz@spark-central.org. Be sure to include your name, grade, school, and the title of your article in the email.

We can't wait to see and hear about all that is going on from your perspective!

Sincerely,

The Editors
