Grades 4-8 • Write and share age-appropriate scary stories! Local author Cliff Hansen, whose short stories and flash fiction have appeared in almost 30 anthologies, will lead a workshop to help kids understand the ingredients of scary stories and what they share with comedy. We’ll focus on how to write suspense over gore and how creepiness can be more fun than blood. Each writer will produce a flash fiction story which we will combine into a zine and make available for Spark-o-ween!
