Saturday, June 27th 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Ages 10+ • Join Spark Central for an afternoon of patch painting as we celebrate Pride Month. Textiles have always been significant to queer culture from clothing that defies the expectations of gender to community-building while knitting or crocheting to the largest collaborative art project, the AIDS Memorial Quilt. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the impact textiles have had on queer history and self-expression as you paint a patch of your own, reflecting on the ways that art and identity intersect.
This program is made possible thanks to our community funders and individual donors like you! If you would like to donate, the recommended donation for this event is $10.
