Ages 10-14 • This interactive, 2-hour workshop introduces aspiring young writers to the fundamentals of playwriting. Participants will explore the core elements of crafting a play for stage, including the core differences between comedy and drama, writing dialogue and stage directions, and structuring a play versus writing projects of other types. Through guided exercises and dedicated open-writing time, participants will channel their creativity into a tangible project, walking away with their very own bound, short script as well as the tools to continue their storytelling.
This program is made possible thanks to our volunteers, community funders, and individual donors like you! If you would like to donate to Spark Central, the recommended donation for this event is $10.
