The Salish School Remembers: Reading & Book Release

Listen to students from the Salish School of Spokane read poetry about Kay O’Rourke’s art masterpiece, The River Remembers, which is on permanent display at Spark Center. Their voices will be joined by other local poets. Salish School students incorporated their family experiences and Native American history into poetry about the 30 paintings, which will be bound in a book with local poets’ reaction to the pieces and released at this event. Free and open to the public.
