  • Spark Center 1214 W Summit Pkwy Spokane, WA, 99201 United States (map)

Saturdays, Sept. 12 and 19 // 12-2pm (attend all sessions)

Are you a person that loves the aesthetics of holding a well-made book in your hands? Making your own personalized book or journal is easier than you might think. In this first book-binding skillshop, we'll look at the basics of book-binding, specifically the coptic stitch. You'll learn what materials to use and become comfortable with the process. By the end of the second session, you'll walk away with your own personalized, bound book that you sewed yourself, and the confidence to sew many more.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Brooke Matson
has been sewing her own chapbooks since before she entered kindergarten. While she has a full-length book of poetry published by Blue Begonia Press, her favorite publications are the limited-edition chapbooks of poetry she sews by hand and gives to friends.
