Tue. Mar. 14 // 7 PM
A wild celebration of the most exciting number: Pi. Enter a pie-making contest — or generously volunteer your pie-tasting services. Compete in a cutthroat Pi recitation war. Cheer on the Indie 3.14 race featuring Raspberry Pi-fueled race cars. Thank you to our event sponsor, Driscoll's Berries!
TO ENTER THE PIE-MAKING CONTEST:
Make a pie. Arrive at 6:30 to enter into the contest at no charge. May the best pie win! Optional: To enroll in in Pie School — a fundraiser event in which you learn to make pie—click here (Saturday morning session on Mar. 11) or here (Saturday afternoon session on Mar. 11).
TO ENTER THE RASPBERRY PI RACE CAR CONTEST:
Register for and participate in the Raspberry Pi Race Car Hackathon on Mar. 11 ($10/scholarships available/no experience required.) You'll team up with a pro to build a racecar fueled by Raspberry Pi, a credit card-sized computer. Show off your invention at Pi Day on Tue. Mar. 14 — and race it against other teams’ cars.
TO ENTER THE PI RECITATION CONTEST:
Memorize as many digits of the number pi as possible. Get on stage and recite them. If you know the most numbers by heart, you win!
TO PARTICIPATE WITHOUT ENTERING ANY CONTESTS:
Come to the event. Eat pie. Casually observe the madness around you.
