FREE · All Ages · Drop by Spark Central to see art by Jason Gorder. Jason Gorder spent 25 years as a comic book inker, working with Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics and many more. During his career as an inker, Jason contributed to hundreds of comics and graphic novels including X-men, the Avengers, Superman, Aquaman, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Star Wars. Before leaving the industry in 2017 to finish his degree in graphic design/fine art, Jason worked with the band Iron Maiden on their comic book Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast.

Jason’s current work combines his love of the graphic illustration style of comic books and his passion for music, exploring the relationship between the impermanent and temporal nature of music and the often tragically brief lives of the musicians who have left us too soon. In addition, Jason is continuing his work on an original graphic novel, to be completed in the Fall of 2020. Jason will be showing selected original comic book pages from throughout his career, as well as a series of new paintings and illustrations reflecting his passion for music.

Following a decade spent in Los Angeles working with various comic-book studios, Jason Gorder returned to his native Spokane, Washington in 2009. He currently resides near Spokane’s Perry District with his rockstar wife Shanda, superstar daughter Madison, and two high maintenance cats.
