All Ages · Please join us for a reception introducing Spark Central’s new Executive Director, Dr. Melissa Bedford! Drop in any time between 5pm and 7pm to say hello to Dr. Bedford and members of the Spark Central’s board and staff.

Dr. Bedford brings a deep expertise in childhood education and organizational leadership to the role. She has a background as a public school teacher and a scholar in education. She has served in faculty and departmental leadership roles at EWU, as well as being a community leader and advocate. She was elected to the Spokane School Board in 2021.
