Thursday, March 17 // 7 PM
Calling all introverts, bookworms, and bibliomaniacs: Scablands Lit and INK Art Space announce the first-ever SPOKANE SILENT READING PARTY, taking place on March 17, 7-9 PM at the Spark Center. Bring a book or an eReader and prepare to zip your lips as you delve into the magic of words. John Paul Shields, a lauded guitarist and instructor at Holy Names Music Center and Spokane Falls Community College, will accompany the civilized silence with classical guitar. This is a rare opportunity to engage in undistracted reading while also partaking in a supportive literary community. Beverages will be available.
Although this event is free and appropriate for all ages, children need to be old enough to understand and follow the no-speaking rule. Come and go as you please: The only two rules are to enjoy your book and to remain silent!
No registration necessary. Free and open to the public.
