Local poets Tim Greenup, Ben Cartwright, Kate Peterson, Brian Cooney, Aileen Keown Vaux, and Kat Smith will join Portland poet-artists Zachary Schomburg & Brandi Katherine Herrera for this fun salon-style reading. Open to the public.
Brandi Katherine Herrera is a Portland, Ore. based poet and multidisciplinary artist, who creates at the intersection of poetic text, film, and sound. She is the author of Mutterfarbe, a book of experimental text + visual translations and poems using Goethe’s Zur Farbenlehre as a primary source (Broken Cloud Press, 2016).
Zachary Schomburg is the author of a forthcoming novel, Mammother (Featherproof, 2017), and four books of poems including, most recently, The Book of Joshua (Black Ocean 2014). He is also an illustrator, and the publisher of an independent poetry press, Octopus Books. He still lives in Portland, OR.
