Our conversation will focus on the success of implied narrative and lyric within a poem while keeping in mind ideas of restraint and concision in language, of letting go of the need to explain and contextualize ideas and images, in order for the short poem to accomplish a lot in a little space. Schomburg will offer a few prompts and exercises, and we'll briefly workshop the drafts that come from them. $30. Register online.
