Carmen and the Bull: A Children's Opera

Saturday, June 25 · Two performances: 3pm and 5pm

THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD AT OMLSTEAD BROTHERS GREEN
N. Nettleton Street & Summit Parkway in Kendall Yards

In Carmen and the Bull, the beloved children’s story Ferdinand the Bull is set to the music of Bizet’s famous opera, Carmen. This new version will delight both young and old with its timeless theme, “Be True to Yourself.” When Ferdinand becomes the best version of himself, good things happen to everyone around him!

These free performances are presented by Inland Northwest Opera in partnership with Spark Central, Greenstone, and Spokane Arts.

All Ages · Join Spark Central and KSPS to celebrate Juneteenth with food, conversation and art! We'll enjoy dinner from Fresh Soul, watch and share our thoughts on PBS KIDS Talk About: Race & Racism, and express what freedom means to us through art.

Families with children between ages 2 and 8 will get the most out of the movie and activity offered in this program. Dinner will be served at 4:30 pm.

All Ages · Spark Central and KSPS PBS invite you and your family to a screening of "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood: A Tiger Family Trip!" After the movie, make your own trolley path and travel collage. Light snacks will be provided, and the one and only Daniel Tiger will greet your young travelers at the door!

All Ages · Come in for an unplugged evening of arts, crafts, and board games providing quality time for your whole family. If you want to unplug from electronics and unwind, we have a warm creative space waiting for you! Volunteers and staff will be available to round out teams for games and provide support with crafts and painting.

We'll give your kids a fun-filled evening and give you a breather to focus on yourself.

After the movie, your young investigator agents can make their own badges, create their own Math Rooms, or play some Odd Squad games on iPads. Light snacks for single sharing will be provided, and the one and only Cookie Monster will make a guest appearance!
