GRADES 3-8 · Join local musicians Matt Slater and Himes Alexander of The Smokes on djembe drums as we create playful and performance beats together! Using these West African instruments, we'll learn to use our hands to make different sounds. Then, we'll work as a group to put those sounds together in rhythm!

GRADES 3-4 · In this playshop, you will depart on a two-hour storytelling adventure where you imagine characters, develop settings, and devise action-packed plots with the help of the West Central Publishing Union. By the end, you'll receive a personalized, bound book you created and the accomplishment of becoming a published writer!

All Ages · Spark Central and KSPS PBS invite you and your family to a screening of the "Odd Squad" movie! After the movie, your young investigator agents can make their own badges, create their own Math Rooms, or play some Odd Squad games on iPads. Light snacks for single sharing will be provided, and the one and only Cookie Monster will make a guest appearance!
