Young Ambassadors · Online Camp

FOUR-DAY CAMP · TUE AUG 25 - FRI AUG 28 · 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM

GRADES 4-6 · Join us for a dive into the unsung histories and stories of Black, Indigenous, and communities of color that have too long been overlooked in our history books and in our shared cultural conversations. Youth will participate in a digital quest to discover for themselves the stories and triumphs of modern and historical figures. Then, they will take charge and retell the histories in their own words by creating written or visual art that represents the stories they would like to share. Kids will practice their hand at storytelling and be emboldened to see themselves as young ambassadors and future leaders in our community. This camp will be led by local artist Shantell Jackson.

Participants will receive information on how to join us online in the days leading up to the camp. Registration is free thanks to community support.

Please only register for Young Ambassadors if your child can attend all four camp days. The campers rely on each other and support one another to make the magic happen!
