Storytelling Adventure Camp

Grades 3-5 · Pull out your most imaginative ideas as we work as a team to create our own adventure book, complete with illustrations and multiple possible endings. Each storyteller (and illustrator) will end the camp with their own copy of the collective adventure book, which will also be featured in Spark Central's library as well as in three real little libraries designed by local artists. GRADES 4-6 · Join us for a dive into the unsung histories and stories of Black, Indigenous, and communities of color that have too long been overlooked in our history books and in our shared cultural conversations. Youth will participate in a digital quest to discover for themselves the stories and triumphs of modern and historical figures. Then, they will take charge and retell the histories in their own words by creating written or visual art that represents the stories they would like to share. Kids will practice their hand at storytelling and be emboldened to see themselves as young ambassadors and future leaders in our community.
